This week, I'm thrilled to announce the launch of my brand new podcast, all about the art of language learning!
The I Will Teach You A Language Podcast – Weekly Motivation and Language Learning Tips to Help You Become Fluent in Any Language
Released twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
You can also listen on the blog, by clicking the Podcast tab in the menu bar:
So what's the podcast all about?
On the IWTYAL Podcast, I'm taking it right down to the ground level and answering your language learning questions personally in each and every episode.
Got a question? Struggling with a particular aspect of your language learning? Stumped by a grammar problem? Or stuck in a rut?
Simply leave me a message and I'll answer it on the podcast.
If you've got a question about a specific language problem that I can't answer myself, such as problems with the case system in Russian, then I'll go out there and find an expert who can! (Hint: Look out for episode 7 for the first special guest!)
Even if you don't have any particular burning questions right now, by listening to the show you'll get a few important benefits:
- Hear what other people are struggling with in their own learning, and realise you're not alone
- Get fresh ideas for studying the language you're learning
- Stay motivated to stay the course by tuning in twice a week – I won't let you quit!
Why did I start the podcast?
I really enjoy writing blog posts every week, but, truth be told, I don't actually read a lot of blog posts myself.
I'm a podcast person. In the gym, in the car, cooking dinner… I love audio!
For some time now I've been thinking about all of you who are more like me, and don't necessarily love devouring huge quantities of text each week.
So, I knew I wanted to start a language learning podcast, but I didn't know exactly what format it would take.
After all, there are some great language podcasts out there, such as Creative Language Learning, Actual Fluency, Language Mastery, Magnetic Memory Method, and Real Fast Spanish – all of which are interview shows, and I've been lucky enough to appear on as a guest.
Rather than mess with what these guys and girls already do so well, I thought I'd do something a bit different.
Answer your questions directly in such a way that I can't do on the blog.
Twice a week. Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Ask your questions!
As one of the aims of the podcast was to give you “weekly motivation”, I really wanted to feature your voices on the show.
In order to do this, I've got a cool little voicemail widget that you can use leave me your question.
It's dead easy – you just press the button and use the built-in microphone in your computer or mobile device to record your question.
Here it is… give it a try and send me a question!
The existence of this podcast relies on you, to ask me your questions.
If I don't get any, there's no podcast.
So go ahead and leave me your language learning questions. Anything goes, providing it's respectful!
Help me launch the podcast!
Can you help me in launching the podcast?
Because there are 100,000s of podcasts out there, I really need your help to get the word out about my new show.
